Large-Scale Deployment of 3D-Printed Border Bunkers
MiCoB has supported the deployment of 500 3D-printed bunker units across high-altitude and hilly border regions through multiple defence contractors. The programme demonstrates the ability to move from individual prototypes to repeatable, field-deployed protective infrastructure at scale.
Key project features
- 500 bunker units
- Deployment across hilly border regions
- Repeatable production and field implementation
- Large-scale protective infrastructure programme
Project story
The deployment required a construction system that could be reproduced across multiple locations while responding to difficult terrain, constrained logistics and varied site conditions. MiCoB's role included adapting its 3D concrete printing technology and production workflow to support repeatable manufacturing and field implementation.
The scale of the programme represents a significant transition from isolated technology demonstrations to sustained operational deployment.
