3D-Printed Bunkers for Desert Border Regions
MiCoB delivered 30 3D-printed bunker units for deployment in desert border areas. The project required the construction system to be adapted to a hot, arid operating environment and demonstrates the use of additive construction for repeatable protective structures across diverse climatic conditions.
Key project features
- 30 deployed bunker units
- Desert border application
- Repeatable protective structure design
- Technology adapted for hot and arid conditions
Project story
The bunkers were designed and executed for field deployment in desert conditions. MiCoB adapted its material, printing and construction processes to the environmental and operational requirements of the programme.
Together with MiCoB's high-altitude deployments, the project demonstrates the versatility of the technology across contrasting geographies.
